Creator of heaven and earth, (Genesis 1:1; Romans 1:20)
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, (Matthew 3:17; Philippians 2:11)
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, (Luke 1:34-38)
born of the Virgin Mary, (Luke 2:7)
suffered under Pontius Pilate, (John 19:16)
was crucified, died, and was buried. (John 19:18-42)
He descended into hell; (1 Peter 3:19-20)
on the third day He rose again from the dead, (Matthew 28:1-10; John 20:11-18)
He ascended into heaven, (Luke 24:51)
and sits at the right hand of God, (Hebrews 1:3)
the Father almighty; (Mark 14:36)
from thence He shall come again (Matthew 16:27)
to judge the living and the dead. (Acts 10:42; 1 Peter 4:5-6; Matthew 25:40-46)
I believe in the Holy Spirit, (John 14:16-20; Acts 1:8)
the Holy Catholic Church, (Matthew 16:18-19; Ephesians 5:25-27; Colossians 1:24)
the communion of Saints, (Revelation 5:8; Luke 15:10; Matthew 19:28; Hebrews 12:1; Romans 12:5)
the forgiveness of sins, (John 20:22-23)
the resurrection of the body, (1 Corinthians 15:51-55; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
and life everlasting. (1 John 5:20; Revelation 22:5)
Amen.
