“Dear children, in this time of grace when you are called to conversion, I am encouraging you, little children: offer me your prayers, sufferings, and tears for conversion of hearts that are far from the Heart of my Son Jesus. Pray with me, because, little children, without God you do not have a future or eternal life. I love you, but I cannot help you without you; therefore, say ‘yes’ to God. Thank you for having responded to my call.” -Our Lady of Medjugorje, in private revelation given to Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti, on March 25, 2025
From the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska (#777-780):
November 27, 1936.
Today I was in heaven, in spirit, and I saw its inconceivable beauties and the happiness that awaits us after death. I saw how all creatures give ceaseless praise and glory to God. I saw how great is happiness in God, which spreads to all creatures, making them happy; and then all the glory and praise which springs from this happiness returns to its source; and they enter into the depths of God, contemplating the inner life of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Whom they will never comprehend or fathom.
This source of happiness is unchanging in its essence, but it is always new, gushing forth happiness for all creatures. Now I understand Saint Paul, who said, “Eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
And God has given me to understand that there is but one thing that is of infinite value in His eyes, and that is love of God; love, love, and once again, love; and nothing can compare with a single act of pure love of God. Oh, with what inconceivable favors God gifts a soul that loves Him sincerely! Oh, how happy is the soul who already here on earth enjoys His special favors! And of such are the little and humble souls.
The sight of this great majesty of God, which I came to understand more profoundly and which is worshiped by the heavenly spirits according to their degree of grace and the hierarchies into which they are divided, did not cause my soul to be stricken with terror or fear; no, no, not at all! My soul was filled with peace and love, and the more I come to know the greatness of God, the more joyful I become that He is as He is. And I rejoice immensely in His greatness and am delighted that I am so little because, since I am little, He carries me in His arms and holds me close to His Heart.
O my God, how I pity those people who do not believe in eternal life; how I pray for them that a ray of mercy would envelop them too, and that God would clasp them to His fatherly bosom.
An excerpt from “God’s Influencer: Holy Advice from St. Carlo Acutis”:
(the following text is from the writings of Saint Carlo Acutis, as shared by his parents Antonia and Andrea Acutis)
The virtue of humility is the capacity to perceive evil in oneself and goodness in God. The capacity to not judge our neighbor but only judge ourselves. Indeed, this humility, descended from Heaven in Christ, is the fundamental, basic, and central virtue of Catholic spirituality: the humility that Jesus exercised in His Incarnation. The humility that He lived was not so much the fact of being born in a manger, but of passing through that exhausting corridor called Incarnation; in other words, Jesus was humble in associating the infinity of His [divine] substance to the finitude of His [human] condition. This exhausting passage of the Infinite to the finite was His humiliation. He gave us the continuous example of humility through His Incarnation during an entire generation, for more than thirty years, suffering and offering in a continuous exercise of humility.
Therefore, we Catholics need to decide to embrace humility, this fundamental virtue by which we bow before God and bow before our neighbor, and which deepens through charity, which is nothing other than humility in practice. Every lack of charity is a lack of humility, and vice versa. The world consists of pride. The essence of the world is arrogance. If we were truly humble, the Lord would bend down to us and grant us grace. Every grace withheld is an act of pride accomplished, and every grace granted is an act of humility accomplished.
“Have this mind among yourselves, which was in Christ Jesus, Who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:5-11)
An excerpt from “Attaining Salvation: Devout Reflections and Meditations” by Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori:
My God and my All, I prefer Thee to all riches, to honors, to knowledge, to glory, to expectations, and to all the gifts which Thou couldst bestow on me. Thou art entirely my Good; Thee alone I desire and nothing more, for Thou alone art infinitely beautiful, infinitely kind, infinitely amiable; in a word, Thou art the Only Good. Wherefore, every gift which is not Thyself is not enough for me. I repeat, and I will ever repeat it, Thee alone I desire and nothing more; and whatever is less than Thee, I tell Thee, it is not sufficient for me.
Oh, when shall it be given me to occupy myself solely in praising Thee, loving Thee, and pleasing Thee, so that I shall no more think of creatures, nor even of myself? O my Lord and my Love, help me when Thou seest me growing cold in Thy love, in danger of giving my affection to creatures and to earthly pleasures. “Put forth Thy hand from on high, take me out, and deliver me from many waters” (Psalm 144:7). Deliver me at that time from the danger of going far away from Thee.
Let others seek what they will; nothing pleases me and I desire nothing but Thee, my God, my Love, and my Hope: “What have I in Heaven? And besides Thee, what do I desire upon earth? …Thou art the God of my heart, and the God that is my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:25-26) My God and my all!
