“If sin abounds in malice to destroy, grace superabounds to repair”

“Dear children, never forget how great is the love of God. Through that love, I am with you. Do not forget how great is His mercy. Through that mercy, I am showing you the way to true happiness and perfect peace. That is the way to my Son. Therefore, my children, with complete trust, abandon yourselves to my Son and do not be afraid. Do not be afraid of the future because it belongs entirely to the Will of my Son. Therefore, my children, renounce everything that distances you from my Son: false happiness, false hope, false splendor. Trust my Son. Tell Him about your pains, sufferings, desires, and hopes. You will feel His love and His blessing. Thank you!” -Our Lady of Medjugorje, in private revelation given to Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo on March 18, 2026

“My daughter, every time you remember that you are deprived of Me and you suffer, your heart is wounded with a divine wound which, being divine, has the virtue of being reflected in My Heart and of wounding It. This wound is sweet—it is balm to My Heart, and I use it to soothe My cruel wounds which creatures make [in] Me—the wounds of their indifference, of their scorn toward Me, reaching the point of forgetting about Me. So, if the soul feels cold, dry, distracted, and she suffers about it because of Me, she remains wounded, and she wounds Me—and I feel cheered.” -Jesus, in private revelation given to Luisa Piccarreta, on August 1, 1918

”Dear children, the poison of selfishness and hatred rules human hearts and that is why you do not have peace. I am calling you, little children: be love and my extended hands to all those whom you meet. In humility, pray for peace and work on reconciliation among people, so that it may be good for every person on earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.” -Our Lady of Medjugorje, in private revelation given to Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti, on March 24, 2026

“Many a time, I have managed to suffer through attacks that were known only to Jesus. The pains are so violent and severe that they cause me to lose consciousness. When they cause me to faint, and I am drenched in cold sweat, then they gradually begin to go away. Sometimes they last three hours or more. O my Jesus, may Your Holy Will be done; I accept everything from Your hand. If I accept the delights and raptures of love to the point of becoming oblivious to what is going on around me, it is only right that I should accept with love these sufferings which cause me to faint.” –Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska (on March 10, 1938)

“If sin abounds in malice to destroy, grace superabounds to repair”

Ezekiel 33:13-20

Though I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, yet if he trusts in his righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in the iniquity that he has committed he shall die. Again, though I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” yet if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has taken by robbery, and walks in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity, he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of the sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right, he shall surely live. Yet your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just”; when it is their own way that is not just. When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall die for it. And when the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does what is lawful and right, he shall live by it. Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not just.” O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways.

“There is not a page in the Gospel in which we do not see that Jesus has a certain tenderness for reconciled sinners more than for the just who persevere. Who does not know that the penitent Magdalene was His faithful and His well-beloved; that Peter, after having denied Him, was chosen to confirm the faith of his brethren; that He left the whole flock in the desert to run after His lost sheep; and that the one of all His children who most sensibly moved His bowels (i.e., inmost being, heart), was the returned Prodigal? Hence we are to understand that while innocence has its tears, He esteems more precious those [whose] sins cause to flow in the holy weepings of penance, and that justice recovered has something more agreeable in His eyes than justice preserved.” –Bishop Jacques-Benigne Lignel Bossuet

“It is not reasonable that sin should have as much power against charity, as charity against sin; for sin proceeds from our weakness, but charity from the divine omnipotence. If sin abounds in malice to destroy, grace superabounds to repair; and the mercy of God, by which sin is forgiven, is gloriously magnified above His justice by which the good works preceding sin are forgotten. Thus in all the corporal cures which our Lord miraculously wrought, He not only restored health, but added such new benedictions as made the excellence of the cure surpass the virulence of the malady, so good is He towards men.” –Saint Francis de Sales
